Ms. Maithreyi Rajasingam

Ms Rajasingam currently serves as the Chairperson of the BEES Network, she was unanimously elected to this position, in October 2022. 

She is the Executive Director of Viluthu, which is a non-profit civil society organization based in Sri Lanka. She played a critical role in Women Heads of Household (WHH) policy development and discourse in Sri Lanka. Maithreyi has contributed in creating experimental developmental programmingthat are driven by communities. This includes promoting one dish meal (nutrition packed affordable meals) as a solution for nutrition and women’s economy. As also, connecting local producer women under a common umbrella wherein the motto ‘women for women’ can work through local women taking ownership to develop and support the women in micro enterprises. 

Maithreyi is also an Attorney-at-Law in Sri Lanka and a Barrister-at-Law and her practice includes corporate, intellectual property and commercial law.
